The Best of Italian Design is a unique event dedicated exclusively to celebrate and display the most prestigious Italian brands and Made in Italy high-end products, addressed to industry professionals.

The second edition of THE BEST OF ITALIAN DESIGN takes place at the MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT, the vibrant and creative hub dedicated to luxury and innovative fashion, design, architecture and dining experiences.

The 2-day event is organized in partnership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Miami Design District (MDD), Platform Architecture and Design.

7 Italian showrooms located in the Miami Design District open their doors for a synergic party to present their collections.

During the night 5 Italian chefs, hosted in different showrooms, compete for the winning title by creating a signature dish with food ingredients and design elements.

FINANZIAMENTI PER FILIALI DI AZIENDE ITALIANE NEGLI USA by VILLANI & PARTNERS

Negli ultimi anni sono sempre di più le aziende italiane che guardano alla Florida, ed in particolare a Miami, come punto di accesso principale alle Americhe, sia per il Nord America che per l’America Latina e i Caraibi. Per molti l’apertura di una filiale commerciale in questo hub strategico non e’ più solo un’opzione ma è diventato quasi un obbligo al fine di presidiare efficientemente mercati in grande espansione.

Per dare risposta a questa necessità, la Camera di Commercio Italo-Americana a Miami propone alle aziende italiane interessate ad aprire nuove filiali commerciali o produttive o per il supporto di filiali già insediate un nuovo servizio di assistenza per la ricerca per l’ottenimento di finanziamenti agevolati o a fondo perduto messi a disposizione da numerosi enti pubblici italiani ed europei a favore dell’internazionalizzazione.

Essenzialmente i finanziamenti possono essere di 5 tipi:

  • Finanziamenti agevolati al tasso dello 0% (fino ad un massimo di 2,5 milioni di euro) con garanzia statale sino all’80% da fondi statali italiani per tutte le imprese italiane che decidono di aprire e/o potenziare strutture commerciali negli USA;
  • Finanziamenti agevolati fino a 300.000 euro al tasso dello 0,0% con garanzia statale sino all’80% da fondi statali italiani per le aziende italiane che devono affrontare studi di prefattibilità per investimenti produttivi e/o commerciali e/o assistenze post vendita;
  • Finanziamenti agevolati fino a € 100.000 al tasso dello 0,08% interamente garantiti per la partecipazione a fiere in Usa come espositore;
  • Finanziamenti agevolati fino a € 400.000 al tasso dello 0,08% con garanzia statale sino al per le PMI che esportano più del 35% medio del loro fatturato in aree Ue ed extra UE La Camera mette a disposizione dei richiedenti la possibilità di beneficiare, senza impegno, di una prima analisi di prefattibilità sul proprio profilo, l’elenco dettagliato dei documenti da preparare e l’assistenza necessaria per la compilazione della domanda.

Indicativamente possono accedere ai finanziamenti aziende italiane con almeno due bilanci depositati e che abbiano un fatturato superiore al 1 milione di Euro, sede centrale in Italia e una società in USA (anche non direttamente detenuta o ancora da costituire).

In caso di valutazione positiva, l’intera istruttoria verrà seguita dal nostro partner tecnico in Italia (un’azienda specializzata con esperienza pluriennale nell’assistere aziende per la ricerca di incentivi per operare sui mercati internazionali) soggetta alla supervisione Camera.

Italian Lab Open Day – February 13th 2019

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the, “Italian Lab Open Day” on Wednesday, February 13th at our IACC office, located on 999 Brickell Avenue, Miami.

Members, friends, and business professionals are all invited to come and learn about our new Italian Lab services and opportunities, discover the 2019 event calendar and see what the Chamber has in store for the New Year. We will also be introducing our new donors who have added their touch of design to our Made In Italy office: Aldabra, Trend Group and Italkfraft.

We are thankful for Aldabra who donated new professional shangahi lights for our conference room, Trend Group who contributed to our kitchen with their gorgeous mosaic glass and quartz counter-top and of course Italkraft who donated a spectacular kitchenette.

IACCSE Calendar of Events 2019

2019 will be a year full of exciting initiatives and professional gatherings for the IACC. All events are designed with an aim to foster business opportunities and networking for our community of business professionals as well as to promote Italian products.

Our first big event of the year will be the IACC Road show to Italy. This is a new initiative created for Italian companies interested in expanding their business in Florida. The IACC will be travelling to major cities in Italy such Milan, Bologna, Florence and Rome where we will be presenting valuable information for companies seeking a leap of internationalization. More information to come…

The Best of Italian Design will take place during the month of May. This is an event dedicated to the design industry, particularly, furniture manufactures wishing to create business ties in Florida specifically with architects and interior designers. The event will take place in the Design District in Miami and will last two days. Guests will be invited to a tour of 4 top showrooms where there will be product presentations. There will also be a symposium with renowned Italian designers invited as guest speakers.

Additionally, there will be the second edition of the Authentic Italian Table that will take off in the beginning of November. The Authentic Italian Table is organized as a food and wine festival to celebrate authentic Italian restaurants and genuine Made in Italy products. This event is also part of the “Extraordinary Italian Taste” project initiated by the Italian Government.

Report about the Italian presence in the U.S. Southeast

The Consulate General of Italy in Miami with the support of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast and the Italian Trade Agency  has recently published a joint report regarding the Italian presence in the south-east of the United States, with a particular emphasis on the economic and trade aspects.

The jurisdiction of the Italian Consulate in Miami includes Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Caribbean Islands such as Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Jamaica and Cayman.

The first important number, is the considerable increase of Italian citizens living in the area under the Consulate’s jurisdiction, which in just four years, have gone from 28,000 to over 41,000, of which 35,000 just in Florida. Moreover, there were 260,000 Italians who traveled for business or holiday in Florida in 2017, generating an impact of 755 million dollars for the local economy.

Italy benefits from a trade surplus with the U.S. Southeast of about 3 billion dollars a year. In 2017, Italy exported products for over 5 billion dollars while it imported just over 2 billion dollars. The most exported Italian products are related to the automotive sector, industrial machinery and home furnishings sectors.

There are a total of 216 Italian firms with commercial offices or production sites in the region. Florida leads the ranking with 114 Italian companies, followed by Georgia with 59. The direct jobs created by these companies are over 8,000.

IACCSE Roadshow in Italy – April 2019

Milan, Bologna, Firenze and Rome will be the host cities of the first Florida Roadshow organized by the IACCSE in April 2019. The initiative is intended for those Italian companies interested in the expansion opportunities in the US market, using Florida as their base.

Attendees will be provided with detailed information on matters such as the establishment of a new branch in the US, tax-related aspects, import-export of products, access to the financial system, as well as an overview of the most promising industries.

The events will be organized with the collaboration of IACCSE representative offices in Italy, local Chambers of Commerce and industry associations. We aim to reach a total audience of more than 200 companies among the four cities where the event will take place.

Intended to provide a reliable overview of the business opportunities in the Florida market, the Roadshow represents a great opportunity for US professional firms to connect with a qualified group of Italian entrepreneurs and managers with the support of the IACCSE.
